Intense to the nose with notes of marasca cherry, blackberry and raspberry.
As one swirls the wine in the glass a decisive spiciness with a peppery intensity is drawn out. The delicate boisèè (woody) accents emphasize the spicy sensations reminding of pipe tobacco.
Articulated to the palate, firstly developing in breadth thanks to the very thick and soft
tannins, following vertically with acid tension and flavours of hawthorn and field herbs, almost recalling northern latitudes. The long finish results in flavours of plum, juniper and Mediterranean scrub.
